For years I’ve battled with back pain and injury. Recently, I “threw my back out” once again. Instead of searching out more of the passive therapies such as massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, etc, I decided to try getting stronger instead. My trainer, Alex Nash, understood my needs and how to push me without irritating my back or causing more pain. He used unique variations on old exercises as well as teaching me a bunch of new techniques I didn’t know. My goal was to be able to live pain free, pick my kids up off the floor, and train jiu jitsu again. Alex took me from having persistent pain and struggling to do the things I love all the way to being pain free and stronger than I was before, all within about 2 months and 15 personal training sessions. Even though I feel great, I am continuing to train with Alex because I see the cost of personal training as the cost of having a high quality of life. Training at Higher Power isn’t fitness, it’s healthcare, and Alex is the doctor that is helping me live well. I’m impressed with the staff, the facilities, and the training at Higher Power and I would recommend their personal training programs to anyone looking to truly enhance their physical well-being or achieve specific athletic or fitness goals.
